The 2022 Unraveled Mitten 365 Crochet Challenge is kicking off just after the first of the year and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
This will be completely FREE. You do not need to pay or purchase anything to be a part of these challenges. (Although, there is a VIP option at the end of this post.) You can do all 12 or just come in and out as you please.
The goal of this challenge is to create more intention in your crochet life and help you advance your skills at the same time.
So many times, we crocheters buy yarn without purpose and add patterns to our queue until it’s overflowing and then we don’t know which end is up or where to start.
This year-long challenge will give you clear starting points to help remove the overwhelm.
At the beginning of each month, we will set our goals based on the monthly theme and outline the steps you need to take to reach them.
How does this work?
Throughout the month, on Thursdays, I will be adding content here on the blog, as well as through email, related to that month’s theme.
This might look like a tutorial, free printable, pattern round up, possibly a pattern depending on the subject, or even just an article offering my advice.
I’ll also be posting about these challenges and giving tips on Instagram and in my Facebook Group.
How to Participate
Participating is so easy! There are no hard and fast rules for participation. I do suggest signing up for my email list below, so you don’t miss anything but beyond that you can join our crochet group on Facebook, participate on Instagram by using our hashtag, or just work through it yourself. You definitely don’t need social media to participate.
If you are using social media you can use #UM365CrochetChallenge on your challenge-related posts. This will keep them all grouped together and will give others a chance to see what you’ve been up to.

Our first challenge starts Thursday, January 6th.

August – back to school?
Perfect!
This coming year is going to be so fun! I signed up for the VIP and can’t wait! Thank you for doing this and looking forward to zoom and meeting you! YAY!
What about “the perfect finish” – weaving in the final end of a piece, how to get an even border around a blanket, attaching amigurumi pieces, etc
Love this idea!!
I love the suggestion that Nancy gave. “The perfect finish”. Tips and tricks on finishing projects to make them look as perfect as we are capable of doing.
This is such a great idea Nancy!
Great ideas – those are things that often give me trouble
I love The Perfect Finish. In addition to the other suggestions, how about an episode on Borders? Looking forward to learning some new things.
For August how about digital declutter, i.e. ditch all those saved pages that no longer exist/are useful, sort patterns etc.
I’m in! For August I would like to suggest Dog Days of Summer using cotton weight yarn. This will be a fun year long activity which I look forward to, thank you for creating it, Heather!
