This beachy baby blanket features one of the most popular crochet stitch tutorials on my site, the Tulip Stitch. Doesn’t the texture remind you of a corner-to-corner blanket??

I used Main Street Yarn’s Shiny and Soft. This yarn is available on LoveCrochet.com and is indeed soft and shiny haha. It is one of the softest acrylic yarns I’ve felt and has a pretty sheen like Red Heart Soft or Caron Simply Soft. It also comes in a TON of colors and is really affordable!
Update 3/2020: The yarn I originally used for this blanket is no longer available. I suggest using either Caron Simply Soft or Knit Picks Brava Worsted as substitutes for their giant color selection. But really any worsted weight will do.
This crochet baby blanket so therapeutic for me. Between the calming colors, the 1-row stitch repeat and the fact the after the first row, all the stitches are worked into a chain space it became a sort of mindless project that I could just pick up and work on whenever.
It also made a perfect TV project! I’ve noticed that since I started crocheting every night, I literally can’t just sit and do nothing. I have to move my hands. Can you relate?

I can’t wait to see all the pretty colors you guys choose for your blankets!
