Well after last week’s deceptively spring weather, winter decided to show back up with a bang. A good 6 inches of heavy, wet snow and an ice storm that knocked out our power for a couple hours during the night. Such weird weather lately, thunderstorms one night, and snow the next. On the plus side, I can keep my cozy winter crocheted accessories out for a while longer! Yay!
Today’s free pattern is for a cozy, lightweight and warm cowl. Good for winter but also light enough to wear on those chilly spring mornings.
I used Lion Brand’s Amazing yarn. I love this yarn. It is an almost fifty-fifty wool/acrylic blend worsted weight yarn. The yarn strand itself is a little on the thin side but it has this slight halo around it that definitely makes this a worsted weight. That halo is what makes this yarn feel so light.
The colors are what I really love about this yarn. They are stunning. It is a very gradual non-repeating self-striping yarn. The colors all blend so well together, even worked in the simplest stitches you would have a show stopper. No two skeins are the same.

I have sent my email twice and am not getting a password to get the pattern for unraveled mittens
It is so pretty! I’m “self-taught” and still learning how to read patterns, but I’m going to have to give this one a try!
You totally should!!
