It’s time for part 5 of our Winter Waves Throw Blanket Crochet Along! I’m really excited about how this quilt inspired crochet throw blanket is turning out. You can find all the information and materials here.
Also, if you haven’t joined our crochet group on Facebook, you really should. I may be biased but it really is the best one out there. Crocheting with friends is just more fun.

Block Layout and Count

Part 5 is another square panel, number 3 of 4. This panel uses the same squares you learned for panels 1 and 3. Each block will again be a combination of your main neutral and one of our 4 coordinating colors.
Panel #2 Blocks
-16 blocks total
-4 of each color
Sound familiar? Each of the 4 square panels we are making will use the same block count if you want to work ahead.
You can find the square pattern here
Blocking your square is optional but I find it helpful.
Here is this week’s layout
We are making pinwheels this week. Aren’t they fun! The pinwheel is made up of 4 blocks. The color halves of your granny squares move around in a clockwise fashion to form this classic pinwheel shape.
White = main color
Purple/Blue – coordinating colors

Whipstitch your squares together using your main neutral color. You can find a tutorial here.
After you sew them together, move on to the border
