MY NOTES
This was a fun pattern to work up! I love all the texture of this square. This square pattern is really versatile too, you can make it bigger for a blanket or smaller for a dishcloth. The pattern does look a little intimidating but Agat has a very helpful video tutorial for you to reference.
Sizing: I did 28 increase rows and then started my decreases. After I added 1 round of single crochet for the border my square was 11.5 in x 11.5 in, not exactly 12 x12 but close enough for me.
Just make increase rows until it’s the size you need and then decrease back to the other corner. Keep in mind there’s a single crochet border to add too, in my experience this adds .5 -1 in of size.
While my square was pretty square, it did need blocking to make the corner lie flat. There was some curling.
Here’s What I did: I will outline my color changes and any notes I have for each row below.
Remember though, you are working on YOUR blanket. If you don’t want to change color where I did, then please don’t. My notes and color changes below are not hard and fast rules.
Also due to the nature of the pattern you might need more or fewer rows to get your square to the correct size.
I always changed color at the beginning of a single crochet row.
Increases
Row 1- 14: Tea Leaves
Row 15-22: Cafe Latte
Row 23-28: Buff
Decreases
Row 29-40: Real Teal
Row 41-44: Cafe Latte
Row 45-end: Tea Leaves

As a reminder, these patterns are not mine. If you would like the purchase the PDF, most designers have them available in their shops. Also, is up to the designer to decide if she wants to publish a video or photo tutorial for the specific pattern. It is illegal for me to make a video of someone else’s pattern.
