This is block 13 of our 2023 Stash Busting Crochet Along Sampler. Helen from Sunflower Cottage Crochet designed this week’s square. The Philippa Square plays with different textured crochet stitches and is perfect to make in a solid color or stripes.

MY NOTES
I think you’ll really enjoy making this textured square. It’s easy and beautiful.
Sizing: My square was a little bit bigger than listed in the pattern so I ended up omitting rounds 11 & 12 as stated in the pattern. To get to 12 inches I ended up doing round 13 twice. This square also needed blocking to make it lay nice and flat.
Here’s What I did: I will outline my color changes and any notes I have for each row below.
Remember though, you are working on YOUR blanket. If you don’t want to change color where I did, then please don’t. My notes and color changes below are not hard and fast rules.
Rnd 1-4: Real Teal
Rnd 5-6: Cafe Latte
Rnd 7-8: Tea Leaves
Rnd 9-10: Buff
Rnd 11-12: I skipped these rounds
Rnd 13: Cafe Latte
Rnd 14 (repeat of ends 13): Cafe Latte

As a reminder, these patterns are not mine. If you would like the purchase the PDF, most designers have them available in their shops. Also, is up to the designer to decide if she wants to publish a video or photo tutorial for the specific pattern. It is illegal for me to make a video of someone else’s pattern.
