Christmas in July Hat Crochet Along 2018

I have some very exciting news! My friend Katie of Salty Pearl Crochet and I are putting on our very own Christmas in July Crochet Along!

We were chatting not too long ago about how we love summery crochet patterns but we were really looking forward to getting started making cold weather things.

We figured we couldn’t be the only ones, right? So the idea for this crochet along was born. Since it is still crazy hot, we decided that hats were the best thing to make. Really if you think about it, hats are the perfect summer project; small and portable.

We asked a few of our favorite designers to each contribute a free crochet hat pattern. This is the perfect opportunity to get a head start on your crochet gifts for this year. No more last minute, all night, on the way to the party crochet sessions.

  1. I’ve really been enjoying this CAL! I love how different each pattern is and they’re quick to work up. Thank you!

  2. OOH! This sounds so fun! Love making hats! They are easy to make, easy to give/donate if needed, AND they help me destash a bit!! Thanks! This is one CAL I’m planning on participating in!

  3. This sounds like so much fun, yet very practical, I’m in the same position as Susan P. , a mom, grandma, grandma Berta and nanna. I’ve a very large family. Making hats, scarves and mittens for the little ones is really a joy when their faces light up on Christmas is very heart warming. Can not wait to start.

  4. I’m not on any social media group but I’m excited I can still join in the fun of the new patterns and being part of a CAL. I’m a great Grammy with lots of kids, grands, and greats so I have many people to make gifts for. Thanks for starting the party!
